Fibreglass stair nosing is non-ferrous meaning you are already limiting the scope for theft of your health and safety investment. As a retorfit product, if a unit gets damaged, it can easily replace. Fibreglass is also resistant to many corrosive chemicals and of course – rust.
Below is a size chart for the fiberglass nosing, or fiberglass nose cones as they are sometimes referred to, can be purchased with or without photoluminescent (Luminated Glow-In-The-Dark) strips:
| Max. Length | Tread Depth (Top) | Riser ( Drop ) |
| 2500mm | 100mm | 25mm |
| 3000mm | 100mm | 25mm |
The nosings are manufactured with the A20 heavy or course grit type for harsh, muddy or extremely dusty conditions – or with the A60 classification which is a finer grit which can be used in industrial units where sales staff work upstairs. Installations over the years, have shown how durable these treads and stair nosings really are in tough environments with heavy boot or foot traffic.

Consider installing fiberglass nosing with a yellow nose that will clearly highlight the edge of the step, enhansing your safety with a bright visual reference.

Many companies have benefitted from the fitting of these fiberglass noseings, to concrete or steel steps like SAB, Distell, Clover and Eskom have done.
